Ho iniziato la carriera di giornalista nella Russia dei primi anni Novanta. Sono stata corrispondente da Mosca e dalle Nazioni Unite per la radio americana Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Ho trascorso sei anni al The Moscow Times, per il quale mi sono occupata di giornalismo investigativo coprendo la politica interna e i servizi di sicurezza russi. I miei reportage da Mosca sono stati pubblicati dall’International Herald Tribune, dal The New York Times e da numerosi giornali italiani. Sono autrice del libro L’Amico Putin. L’invenzione della dittatura democratica (Aliberti Editore, 2011), de Il Grande Saccheggio (Le Mezzelane, febbraio 2018), di Quando mi chiameranno uomo? (Le Mezzelane dicembre 2018), e di diverse opere teatrali, due delle quali sono state pubblicate nell’aprile del 2016: Profondo Sud, Edizioni Esordienti Ebook (clicca qui per visitare la pagina Facebook). Ora vivo tra Mosca e il profondo Sud americano (Birmingham, Alabama). I’m a freelance journalist and playwright who has lived and worked in Moscow, Russia, for more than ten years. I live now between Russia and the deep American South (Birmingham, Alabama). I worked as a Moscow correspondent for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and then I spent six years at The Moscow Times covering Russian interior politics and the security services. My stories from Moscow were published by the International Herald Tribune, The New York Times and by several Italian publications. I wrote a book about Putin’s Russia: L’amico Putin. L’invenzione della dittatura democratica ( Aliberti Editore, 2011 ). I’m also the author of Il Grande Saccheggio (Le Mezzelane, Feb. 2018), Quando mi chiameranno uomo? (Le Mezzelane, Dec. 2018), and of several plays, two of them were published, under the title Profondo Sud, in April 2016.
